This location is so convenient to the Port Authority, and I was confident our luggage was safe!
After reading other reviews, I chose this smoke shop (first time I have ever been in one) because the luggage is stored out of view of customers. There are other storage options in the area of the Port Authority, but people who used those say the luggage is in the open where anyone can access it.
Dropping off and picking up our luggage was quick and easy. We had a QR code that was scanned when we arrived, we took a photo of our luggage that we were leaving with them, and we left. Picking up our luggage when we returned to Manhattan was just as easy, and there were 3 pieces of luggage that we didn’t have to take on the bus with us for our 4-day trip to New Jersey!
Customer Service at Radical Storage was awesome! I originally reserved and paid for 4 pieces of luggage, but ended up only needing to store 3 pieces. I had to make and pay for a new reservation, then Radical Storage refunded me for the cancelled reservation. It was all done before we got off the cruise ship, and the Customer Service agent made it so easy!
It’s a bit pricey when you have multiple bags stored for multiple days, but it is such a great option when you are away from home and don’t want to handle luggage that you don’t need.
I would use Radical Storage again, if paying for storage is my only option.
My biggest issues are not knowing where you are storing your luggage until after you make the reservation, and whether your luggage will be locked up in a secure space or left in the open. Fortunately for me, a reviewer had a picture of the outside of the smoke shop, and I could find it in relation to the Port Authority.

This souvenir shop is about as central as it gets: right on Times Square.
We arrived at 10am with four suitcases that our stingy hotel next door wouldn’t store, despite the fact that we’d stayed there for a week.
A lovely gentleman took our bags and stored them behind a door in what looked like a stairwell. We had AirTags in all four bags and could see that they were never moved throughout the day.
Pickup at 5 p.m. went without a hitch; remembered us from that morning!A
