Art Basel Miami returns to the Miami Beach Convention Center with public days on December 4 to 6, 2026, after two invitation-only VIP days on December 2 and 3. It’s the main event of Miami Art Week, when dozens of satellite fairs, gallery openings and parties spread from South Beach to Wynwood and the Design District. In 2025 the fair brought 283 galleries from 43 countries and territories. The 2026 exhibitor list is still to come.
Flying in on the morning of the fair or checking out before your flight? Drop your bags in South Beach and spend the day at the fair without them.

What You’ll See Inside
The fair is split into sectors. Galleries is the main hall with the big international dealers. Nova shows recent work, Positions gives a single booth to one emerging artist, Survey looks at art history, and Kabinett puts curated shows inside gallery booths. Meridians is the large-scale sector for installations, film and performance, and Zero 10 is a newer sector. The Conversations talks program runs during the public days.
Plan on at least half a day for the main halls. Wear comfortable shoes: the Convention Center is huge, and the air conditioning is strong, so bring a light layer even in Florida.

Miami Art Week Beyond Art Basel Miami
Many visitors spend as much time at the satellite fairs as at the main event. They aren’t run by Art Basel, they keep their own hours and tickets, and most open a day or two earlier in the same week:
- Design Miami: collectible design, in a pavilion close to the Convention Center.
- Untitled Art: a tent right on the sand in South Beach, near Ocean Drive and 12th Street.
- NADA Miami: younger galleries, on the mainland near downtown.
- Wynwood and the Design District: free street murals, gallery openings and brand pop-ups. ICA Miami in the Design District is free all year.
Getting to Art Basel Miami
| Option | Details |
|---|---|
| Miami Beach trolley | Free, 8 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily, about every 20 minutes per route |
| Freebee | Free on-demand electric rides in set areas of Miami Beach |
| Rideshare | Easy, but pickup points around the Convention Center can move during the fair, and traffic on the causeways is heavy |
| Driving | Convention Center garage, $20 flat fee, entrances on Convention Center Drive and Washington Avenue |
| Walking | The simplest choice if you’re staying in South Beach or Mid-Beach |
Art Week traffic between the mainland and the beach is famously slow. If you’re going from Wynwood to the fair, leave extra time or plan one side of the bay per day.
Tips for Visiting
- Book your hotel early. Prices on Miami Beach jump during Art Week.
- Go on Friday morning if you want the quietest public hours. Saturday afternoon is the busiest.
- Large bags may be checked at the entrance, so travel light inside the fair.
- Save evenings for the parties and openings. Many are free with an RSVP, so follow the galleries you like.
Luggage Storage for Miami Art Week
A lot of people fly in for a day or two of the fair and leave straight after. Hotels on the beach often won’t hold bags for long during their busiest week, and you can’t take a suitcase round the halls.
Radical Storage has verified partner locations across Miami. The nearest to the fair is in South Beach, about a mile and a half south of the Convention Center and close to Untitled Art. There are also several in Wynwood for the mainland side of Art Week. Book online in a minute, every bag is protected up to €10,000, cancellation is free and travelers rate the service 4.8/5.
