Allianz Stadium Turin Guide 2026: Juventus Bag Rules, Fixtures, How to Get There & Where to Store Bags

Allianz Stadium Turin guide: fans watching an evening football match under floodlights

The Allianz Stadium Turin is Juventus’s 41,500-seat home in the Continassa district, 7 km north-west of the city centre, and one of the few top Italian grounds with no metro stop. Entry rules are stricter than most visitors expect: every bag is searched, bottles and cans are refused, tickets are in your name and checked against photo ID, and there is no bag deposit at the stadium. This guide covers what you can bring in, the prohibited-items list, the 2026–27 home fixtures, how to get there from Porta Nuova and Porta Susa, the stadium tour and museum, and where to leave your luggage.

In Turin for a match and a night? Store your bags near Porta Nuova or near Porta Susa and take the bus to the stadium hands-free.

Allianz Stadium Bag Policy: What You Can Bring In

The Allianz Stadium Turin regulations (Regolamento d’uso dell’impianto) don’t set a centimetre limit for bags, unlike Wembley or Tottenham. What they do say is that every spectator and every bag, container or object can be searched with metal detectors or a pat-down at the turnstiles, and that buying a ticket means accepting that. In practice:

  • Handbags, cross-body bags and small daypacks go through after a search. Keep them easy to open.
  • Suitcases, trolleys and large backpacks aren’t banned on paper, but there’s nowhere to put them, stewards can refuse anything they can’t search quickly, and the seats are tight. Don’t bring them.
  • Umbrellas only if small and without a pointed tip.
  • Drinks in bottles, cans or anything with a lid are taken off you at the gate; inside, drinks are served in paper or plastic cups.
  • Cameras: phones and compact cameras are fine; video cameras, reflex and interchangeable-lens cameras, binoculars and drones are prohibited.

The Juventus Museum, in a separate building opposite the Area12 shopping centre, has lockers for bags larger than 30 x 40 x 15 cm, but only for museum and tour visitors during their visit, not for the match.

Tickets and ID: What Juventus Check at the Gate

  • Named tickets. Every Serie A and Champions League ticket carries a name, and stewards can ask for photo ID at the turnstile. If the name doesn’t match, you don’t get in. Bring a passport or ID card, not a photo of one.
  • Buying. General sale is through juventus.com; members and season-ticket holders get priority and the big fixtures (Inter, Milan, Napoli, the Torino derby, Champions League knockouts) rarely reach open sale. Official hospitality packages are the fallback.
  • Away fans from certain provinces are sometimes barred by the prefecture for high-risk games; check the match page on juventus.com before travelling.
  • Keep your ticket on your phone until you’ve left the stadium; stewards can ask for it on the way out.

Napoli on 1 November and the Torino derby on 6 January are the two to plan around: hotels near the centre fill up, and the stadium shuttles run at full stretch. The derby’s 12:30 kick-off on the Epiphany holiday means a quiet morning city and a very busy lunchtime around the ground. The ATP Finals (15–22 November) overlap with the Venezia game, so that week Turin is busy with tennis fans too.

How to Get to the Allianz Stadium from the City Centre

There’s no metro to Allianz Stadium Turin. The Line 1 metro ends at Bernini, 4 km away, and GTT runs buses and a matchday shuttle from there.

The shuttle from Bernini runs from about two hours before kick-off and for an hour after the final whistle, and it’s the fastest public option. After the match the bus stops on Corso Grosseto are packed; walking 10 minutes towards Via Lanzo before boarding saves time. A taxi from the centre costs around €20–25 outside matchday traffic.

Juventus Museum and Stadium Tour

On non-match days (and on match days until the afternoon) the J-Museum and stadium tour take you through the trophy rooms, the home dressing room, the tunnel and pitchside. The museum sits in the east area opposite the Area12 shopping centre, is normally closed on Tuesdays unless there’s a match, and offers lockers for bags over 30 x 40 x 15 cm during your visit. Allow about two hours for museum and tour together. Combined with the stadium’s own restaurants and the shopping centre next door, it fills a half day, which is why many visitors arrive straight from the station with their luggage and need somewhere to leave it.

Matchday Tips

  • Arrive 90 minutes early. ID checks plus bag searches make the turnstile queues slow, and the Curva Sud fills early.
  • Finish your drink before the gate. Bottles go in the bin at the cordon, full or not.
  • Cashless. Food and drink inside are card-only.
  • Dress warm. Winter evening games in Turin sit around 2–6°C; the stands are covered but the wind from the Alps isn’t.
  • Eat in the centre. Options around the stadium are limited to Area12 and the stadium bars; San Salvario and the Quadrilatero are better before you head out.
