Stromboli is one of the most popular Aeolian Islands and stretches for more than 12 kilometers. Its active volcano (almost a thousand meters high) makes it a special tourist destination.
Reaching the island, you will disembark at Punta Scari, a place with black sand beaches, caves, and coves. Punta Scari is the heart of Stromboli, and it’s located in the northeast. Leaving the port, you will arrive at the Old Town, where there are stores, small restaurants, and the pretty Church of St Vincent (located in St Vincent Square). From this square begins an uphill road that leads to the top of the volcano.
If the weather is sunny (and the volcano wants it), you can enjoy several activities in Stromboli.
