Welcome to Morocco

Morocco is a fascinating area of Africa, situated at the gates of Europe and the Middle East. Its unique colors, breathtaking landscapes, and picturesque traditions attract millions of visitors every year. According to data released by the local government, there were 11.3 million visitors between January and November 2018. Marrakech (or Marrakesh), with its million inhabitants, is certainly among the most-visited cities in Morocco, along with Agadir, Fez, and Rabat. It is situated south of Casablanca, and it's reachable from Ménara Airport.

Where past and present meet

Marrakech is divided into two parts, Medina (Old Town) and the Ville Nouvelle, the most modern district, where the majority of the inhabitants live. In the new town, there is not much to see - apart from Majorelle Gardens, but the Medina is a gem! Here, among museums, historic buildings, monuments and places of worship you'll be spoilt for choice! You can start with Jamaa el Fna, the main square considered to be the beating heart of Marrakech, and then take a trip to the Menara Gardens. Since this district is chock-full of attractions, we suggest you select the ones that interest you the most.
