Leicester is a historical city rich with history, it is one of the oldest towns in the United Kingdom and is a melting pot of old and the new! In 2012/2013 a major discovery happened which brought Leicester City back on the map and has created huge interest of historical importance. The Remains of King Richard III were found and confirmed with DNA. Since then the Dynasty, Death & Discovery visitor center has been out in place to reveal the great historical importance of the famous Wars of the Roses which shaped the United Kingdom & marked the end of the rule of the House of York. The remains have now been buried into Leicester Cathedral, this is a wonderful and historical building that is a must-see while visiting this magical city!
