About Genève-Eaux-Vives

The Genève-Eaux-Vives Train Station in Geneva’s Eaux-Vives district, opened in 1888. It was a terminus for several regional trains, including French lines. Closed in 2011, the CEVA project, also known as the Léman Express, aimed to strengthen Franco-Swiss rail networks by linking Geneva’s Cornavin station with France’s Annemasse. Genève-Eaux-Vives, completely rebuilt and modernized with underground facilities, reopened in December 2019, Gare de Genève-Eaux-Vives serves as a central hub for this initiative, improving regional transport and travel times. Its original building stands as a historical monument.

If you want to get from Eaux-Vives to Geneva Airport (GVA) by train, first, you need to reach Geneva’s main train station, Gare Cornavin. You can do this by taking a bus or a tram. Once at Gare Cornavin, there are regular trains to Geneva Airport, and the journey only takes about 7 minutes. Preferring the bus, take bus line 10 from Bel-Air to the airport.
