About Brussels Central Station
City Centre station, also known as Gare Centrale (FR) or Brussel Centraal (NL), is the main transportation hub in Brussels, and it was designed by the famed architect Victor Horta in 1910. However, due to a number of reasons, including both the world wars, the construction of this station was delayed.
Gare Bruxelles-Central was finally inaugurated on 4 October 1952. Later, the Brussels-Central was renovated between 2004 and 2010 in an attempt to equip it with high-speed trains and better transportation facilities. It is located in the city center, near the Grand Place and the famous Manneken Pis statue.
