DISCOVERING POREČ
Did you know that Porec has one of the smallest streets in Europe? It's called Ulica Stjepana Konzula Istranina. Porec has preserved a typical layout of an ancient Roman town. Stop by the Euphrasian Basilica, rebuilt in the 6th century under the Byzantine Empire and bishop Euphrasius, it is a protected World Heritage Site, so designated by UNESCO in 1997. Be sure to also visit Neptun's Temple, Romanesque and Gothic houses like House of Two Saints, and Zuccatto Palace, round and pentagonal towers, and Istrian Council House. If you are more interested in water activities you can jet ski, banana ride and try parasailing, also in 2015 the waterpark Aquacolors opened, if you are on a family vacation you should definitely spend a day there. Lastly there are many festivals that will make your stay in the town even more magical, try going to the historical festival, Giostra, which takes place in June. The festival brings Porec back to the 18th century, to Baroque times through clothes, performances, plays, dances, games, and food. Also, the Porec Open Air Festival that takes place from July to September is a must, the festival includes street performers, cinema and theater nights, musical and special events.
